Reports that accompany image studies can be made available in Panavista (if your radiology
service supports it).
Panavista Users
<top>
To share a study with an existing Panavista user, click the 'share' button located on the
toolbar. The 'Share an Image' dialog will appear.

Answer 'no' to the first question and fill out the email details in the fields at the bottom
of the dialog. You can enter a descriptive message to the person you are emailing. You can
also select a recipient from your Outlook address book by clicking the 'To' button.

When you are happy with the details entered and the message you are sending, click the 'Email
this Share' button. The recipient will receive an email informing them that you have shared
a study with them. See
Share Emails for more information on
how to handle these emails.
Non-Panavista Users
<top>
Non-Panavista users can also be given access to studies you wish to share with them. If
you decide to share images with someone who does not have a Panavista account then they
will access the images using your account details, but they will only have access to that
particular study. You can control what level of access they have to that study.
To share with a non-user, click the share button as above, but this time at the dialog
answer 'yes' to the first question.

You now have 3 options for controlling this users' access to the study:
- You can allow the user permanent access (they can go back and view it any time).
- You can allow only a limited amount of time to view the study. This gives the recipient
2 days to view the study, after this they can no longer access the study.
- Do not assign any new rights (the recipient can not access the study using your log in,
and will have to apply for their own username and password if they do not already have one).
Fill out the email details as
above and click the 'Email
this Share' button once you are happy.
Share Emails
<top>
When you decide to share a study with someone, Panavista sends them an email informing them
that there is a study you would like them to look at. The email includes an attached file which
when opened, will launch Panavista and automatically open the concerned study.

If the recipient does not have Panavista installed, they will be prompted to do so having clicked
the attachment. See
Installation. Once Panavista is installed,
they will be able to view the shared study using your account, unless you have selected "Do not
assign any new rights". In which case they will need to contact the imaging provider to apply
for their own username and password.
