There are a number of different ways to find a study in Panavista - this is designed to make
it easy for you no matter how you choose to work or what software packages you use in your
surgery.
By Patient

You find a study in Panavista by finding the patient for whom the study was done. To do this
click the 'Search' tab to open it up.
Enter the details for the patient you wish to find. You can search on a folio number, given name
or a surname (or any combination of the 3). When you have entered the details click the 'find'
button.
If you have not already entered your username and password you will be asked to do so now. Enter
your username and password and press the 'OK' button.
Any matching search results will be listed. All studies for the patients found will be shown. Click
the desired study from those listed to open that study.

By Panavista Code

Every Panavista study has a unique code known as a 'Panavista Code'. If you know the code for the
study you wish to view you can skip the need to search for a patient and go straight to the
desired study using this code.
Enter the code in the field at the top left hand corner of the screen and press the enter key.
Panavista will also remember the Panavista Codes of the studies you have viewed recently, these can
be found by clicking the drop down list button where you enter the code. You may need to enter your
Panavista username and password (as
above)
If you have entered a valid Panavista Code, that study will now be loaded and displayed. See

instructions on how to view the study.
From Reports

Panavista allows you to open a study directly from reports in patient management software such as
Medical Director, Best Practice, Medtech32, Locum, Medical Spectrum and Genie.
To do this Panavista Active Launch must be running. Panavista Active Launch runs automatically by
default (see
Settings to enable active launch if has been
turned off).
- Open the report/study you wish to view images for
- Hover the mouse over the Folio number or the Accession number in the report:
- The 'View in Panavista' popup will appear. Click it to start Panavista - images for the
report you were viewing will now be loaded in Panavista (if available):
